    just ignore shadow/neon.... it's safer that way. The water idea is a good one along with the piston releasing water.

    You can also build a simple frame machine to move you back and forth :p

    Also, it should be noted that alot of the 1.5 versions of the mods (including AE) have vastly improved their code for better performance, networking updates, etc. Another thing is that the new Gregtech Fusion Reactors do use plasma generators which could potentially make for some lag.

    Very well. If I were going to make an afk machine... Teleporters automated with a computer would work.

    Of course none of the other methods would be as classy as saddling up a pig and roaming your base in style.

    so if we ever catch a member avoiding afk (if there will be restrictions however) then we banz. That's not a problem at all.

    It's just not an ideal way to go. As hsun and others have said, one of the things that sets skcraft apart is the lack of those kinds of restrictions. If absolutely necessarily we'd all make do with new rules, but it would be nice to find other ways to manage server resources more effectively.
