I have always wanted to create a power network that can be used by the players on the server. So as that have been said I'm creating a power structure the is Public Power that is running over the tesseract network. As this is going to be a tesseract network you could help and join your power also. This is a great task and a great project as I know some players will just abuse it but that just gives me more time to create the best power system over tesseracts. Tesseract Details: Freq: 100 Name: Public Power
Awesome! I still haven't got buildcraft power working (every machine still has a stirling engine) but this is a really neat project! If only I knew (and were bothered) to make some tesseracts and conduits...
LOL I'm just here to get inspirations for my power supply I'm using fiendish bees to power my magmatic engines
I don't really mind that's the point I usually have an excessive amount of power right now (5 Full Energy Cells).
This would be awesome! If I fed off this I would at least give something back: Free ender!!!!!!! (I'm already giving that )
Oh wow. If this is the scale you're working with, then I would seriously urge you to ask other people what they use for power and scale your setup accordingly. Like Shadow said, 5 energy cells is nothing. Just my Laser and Assembly table setup runs off 12 energy cells and I would consider that medium sized. There are two problems I see with this setup, using Tesseracts and Leechers. The Tesseract problem has to do with the limitations of the block. First there is the 25% power loss on transfer. This can be mitigated by making more energy cells and power production. Second, is the problem of maximum power transfer. The Energy Tesseract has the same power transfer per side limit as the Redstone Energy Cell. Max 100MJ/t. So for every 6 Energy Cells in your storage array you will need 1 Tesseract. This starts become very expensive when you try to scale up. Leechers are self explainitory. There will always be someone that will exploit the system for their own gain. Because the Tesseract network is public there is no way to keep track of who is using it.
Thanks for the feedback I will use this info as the base line I'm doing my research and will take it into consideration
Hmm... I'm planning to go into steam power (12LP) with a Steve's Cart tree farm, so my fiendish bees can produce enough lava just for backup I might be able to help out whenever possible! Off topic: I'm not a type of person who would go to endgame instantly
