I would happily give up on TBMs if I can use chunk loaders, but wouldn't limiting the max size of frame machines also fix it, make it like 32 or something, because then if people DO use a TBM it can't be very big. And to fix getting round that, you could make it so that only a certain number of frames can exist in a certain area, but only check on a random tick to stop lag from checking if the frames should be allowed to exist, if they can't exist, make them require infinite power/don't move.
TL;DR Disable Frames altogether. Disable Block Breakers. Make Block Breakers expensive. Make Block Breakers unable to break cobble or stone. Change/limit the max size of frame machines. Enable UUM recipes for ores. Disable frames in favor of enabling chunk loaders/world anchors. This also helps fix the problems with the BC Quarry. Did I miss anything?
No, that sums up the majority of the thread. I'm just pointing out not everyone is going to read seven pages of the same points
Yes, sk, i am pretty sure the majority is at a clear decision, evident by this 7 page forum... Have you been working on disabling them / finding a way to do so / made a decision? Can you give us an summary or confirmation on what you will be doing?
I see your point, I didn't think of that, I got a way round having loads in one area, but that doesn't help, and FYI Opticnerve93, I did read through the whole thread.
http://skcraft.com/threads/frame-borers-and-chunk-loaders.1779/#post-17998 It's been done. Consider this a test. The tps is sooo much better.
okay so disabling frame quarry is fine with me but can you create a way for those of us who have them to sell the frame motters, block breakers, pneumatic pipes/frame pipes, frame, back and get our stuff back form it because frame quarry are expensive and if they don't work its not worth having them any more and i could get lots of material back form them thanks
Not likely. If you ran your bore/quarry for more than an hour it paid for itself several times over. The block breakers can still be used for other things (though you're better off not using them at all), and frame machines have many other functions.
