Using the iridium alloy ingot recipe adds some challenge to iridium plate production, and makes gunpowder something of real value. Thoughts?
It brings the Implosion Compressor back from the dead. Also gunpowder is easy to make from renewables. charcoal dust, sulfur, and two saltpeter = two gunpowder. Charcoal comes from the tree farm. Sulfur comes from electrolyzing pyrite. I think it is also a byproduct from centrifuging dark ash that comes from making steel. Saltpeter is the deceiving one, but relatively simple. Enderpearls. Grind those suckers into dust and run them through the electrolyzer for some nitrogen, potassium, chlorite, beryllium, and air cells. The chlorite is useless for now but great things come from the others. Beryllium is used to make neutron reflectors that you can use to make your Nuclear Reactors more efficient or use them to make Fusion Coils. Take the last three products and you get 10 saltpeter for 2 potassium, 2 nitrogen, and 3 air cells. If you craft them in an Electric Crafting table you will get the empty cells back.
I'm also all for leaving the hard recipe on. But is it worth it for all the whining that would come from it?
If it causes some people to leave let them, I forgot what was changed not in this recent but a previous update. It caused a lot of people to complain then before you knew it they got over it and we still have 18-24 always on and about 60+ during peak hours.
