The server has been crashing often recently -- I'll have to find some time looking into the cause. In the mean time, if you try to join, only to find the process stuck, it means that the server has likely crashed.
Maybe it would be a good idea to set up an auto restart script?. Especially for times when there aren't any admins online to restart.
We currently have an auto restart script but sometimes the forcefully stop is so hard that it requires someone to actually restart by hand.
That was gk being a fucking asshole. I was making myself a sword of the zephyr, and i said i threw some arrows for telum into the cauldron. But he got everyone to rally against me and said i was crashing it.
I find your overly detailed explanation suspicious. This should be investigated further. Given the way you brought the server to it's knees, a temporary ban while your guilt is established seems like the best course.
The server is actually not crashing -- it is freezing up in most cases. I want to push an update before I go trying to fix it, otherwise the effort may be in vain. But I ran into troubles the last time I tried to update the server, so I have to look into it again.
Server is down again, it has been for quite some time. Is there a way to automatically force start the server, like check if the process is running and manually start if it's not?
Xenthis, biggest problem on this is the process still runing but its freezed(like not responding) and there is no way how to detect this i think so somebo must go and kill the process manualy to restart it ... So for your question there is way how to detect if process was runing or not but not if it's not responding.

It looks like a chunk I am currently in may be the cause of some of these crashes. If a mod could TP me out that would be very helpful so everytime I join I don't crash the server :/
jamerst, you are the fourth person I know of stuck in a bugged chunk =[ is it near the bazaar by any chance?
It is around 300 metres away I am aware of apparent bugged chunks nearby but I don't know where they are or how close they are
so it looks like I am not going to the bazaar any time soon... Does anyone have the crash reports from these errors/crashes
