I suggest an updated feature for the MapPad >homing app It is the one thing I use most frequently that requires typing and I feel that a minor tweak to its functionality would yield a big improvement: Remove the need to >accept [player] on teleport for members of your friends list, to allow quicker and easier transit between friends. If we're sharing claims, why not teleportation rights? Secondly: A toggleable option for the MapPad to default to the homing app on load would be legendary, as honesty, I've never even used the other apps except to test them out. Thank you!
Post this in the suggest a mod or update section. *edit* well this technically is a feature request and not an update request.
I support it as well. But there should definitely be more features. Like toggle-able accepting, so you don't have to keep accepting a person. I can't think of more because i just woke up. But I do think it's about time for the mappad to get an update.
Nay. I think it is fine as is. In my opinion, it should take as long as the previous time for teleporting, to make the Mappad a little more realistic.
I would like the function to toggle accept also shadow. There is many people that I trust to always have on my accept toggle if it existed and would make life easier. The fact that typing >homing before is not really a problem but without it would be much better
Balance idea: Player1 has toggled constant authorization of Player2. Now in order for teleportation to work both players must have the mappad and an enderpearl in their inventories. With the the authorization toggle enabled an enderpearl is consumed from both inventories when Player2 teleports to Player1.
Very nice Buttons. This way the receiver is actively involved in the relocation (by having to hold their pad during transit) and still in control of who they receive. You've given me the idea of a reverse-charges service similar to a telephone. There could be an option to allow the recipient to pay the teleport fee instead of the traveller. Though, I don't know how useful that would be.
I wasn't thinking of the Player1 holding the mappad, just have it in the inventory. Although holding that is a neat idea as well.
Having to hold the pad while waiting for someone to teleport may be as frustrating as typing >accept [name] constantly. I think I prefer your original idea! I'd like a solution that is very basic, straightforward and extremely easy to use, but where possible I do think its a good idea for the recipient to KNOW that someone is about to teleport onto them.
If you don't want people teleporting to you just put the mappad away. In a chest, in a bag, or in a pouch. You can even throw it on the ground! (taking out enderpearls works too)
Wow, a productive thread! gj, guys. ^_^ I support this idea too, since i already suggested a kind of perma acception. http://skcraft.com/threads/permanent-accepting-in-mappads.1402/#post-14204
I had no idea! Splendid. Your two months ago suggestion is more or less exactly what I'd like to see done. Though perhaps with a bit less Mad_ness and a LOT less Dudu.
