Hey everyone! kokigames and I (shields42) are starting a railway company. This network of rails will connect major cities, compounds, build-sites, and other points of interest together. kokigames and I will be leading the project. We need all of the help we can get. This railway will be free for all users. Anyone that is interested in adding their city/base/build/POI to the network will need to contact us so that we can get all of the permissions right. We will need to start a friends list for all of the rails. We will need to buy/take-over any chunks that are in a project site. Hit us up online if you see us. We can do this. Together. Happy mining, shields42
I supported actively the server-wide power supply project for my city, now it's about a transport system, so I must actively support it too! Such good ideas are so cool, but BTW I will build up and finish my city before to help mining the rails, and setting up stations (but this means that there will be a station on top of my city, wich is a flying city at y>=200)
I am interested, willing to have my base connected with rails. Will also donate rails, message me in-game. Hopefully this works out!
How close are you guys to connecting the rail network to Spawn? Any chance of getting a rail depot at the Bazaar?
Dear everyone, This might not happen, as the Traincraft mod may be removed. This is due to the fact that it causes huge problems when loading chunks with placed train objects following a server restart. They load as the seats only. The seats also lag behind the trains when moving. Railcraft, however, is here to stay along with Steve's carts. Lets focus on Railcraft for right now.
Do you have a set plan as to how you are going to be able to interconnect all of the segments on the railway you are trying to plan, because based on how you are not speaking about this project anywhere, it is fairly hard to track how you guys are coming along. I personally would like to be part of this, but only if you release some details about implementation and layout. (i.e. a map of currently planned stops and how you will connect them, or schematics about how you will manage the switching and/or transport if this pans out)
