Hey I found a way to turn the scribble language of the enchantment table into English via file edits and i was wondering if we could do this or if we would get banned.
The words on the enchantment table have nothing to do with the enchantment you'll get, AFAIK. Enchantments are a server side thing, so if you add a client side mod like this, nothing will happen to you, ban wise. Feel free to do whatever with it.
I would prefer you do your research before you actually say a mod is OP. These mods have nothing to do with the enchants, they just let you see what the names mean in the enchantment table. And unless you count the one i suggested, it's not really been suggested before. but since this mod has is only for 1.3 it doesn't really count towards being OP P.s. It probably would've been good if i had watched the video
That's pretty much impossible to get unless you install it on the server. If it's a mod to just translate the symbols, it's basically just jibberish.
You may try doing some research on this subject before claiming that making the symbols English provides an unfair advantage: Because the words on the Enchantment table have jack all to do with the Enchantment you receive. I.E.: Knowing what it says doesn't help you in the slightest. As Shadow has said, it requires a server-sided mod to be able to actually know what you are receiving.
I searched about it before. Actually, if you translate Galactic Alphabet (the original Enchantement Table's alphabet) into a regular one, you will find words that has no link with the actual enchantement, and the same enchantement will have different random words for it's "description". So it is impossible to know which enchantement you're getting if you only have a client sided mod, and it is too abused to have this anyway, so taht's why there will never be this (I think) on SKCraft. Anyway, here's a cool website to help you with your enchantements: http://www.minecraftenchantmentcalculator.com/
Then perhaps it's better to change your wording so it displays what you actually mean, not something different.
Quite Frankly... I have to agree with Mad on this one.... Way to OP. It's basically changing one or more simple piece of code, yet, it impacts so much.
