As many of you may have known, IC2 mining lasers bypassed chunk claims. Unfortunately, I've been too busy to actually fix the problem, so instead I have temporarily banned them entirely. When I get a chance (possibly this Wednesday), I will see if I can find time to re-enable them. Note: Someone entirely decimated someone else's base with a mining laser. We were able to restore it, but it is not feasible for us to fix these kind of problems every time they came up. UPDATE: The mining laser might return this Wednesday.

what i want to know is why when i try to logg into the server it says "yor access has been suspended. to contest, report ID #895, i was walking in the world and i saw a base that was all ruined and i just walked inside and pcked some of the stuff up and one of the things i piked up was a mining laser i shot it randomly a few times to test it out and i get on a few minutes ago and it wont let me logg into the server? HELP ME
I'm curious, does the latest development (involving the poor guys base that got totaled) at all affect whether you intend to fix the problem and unban lasers, or do you think you'll just boot them entirely? Most of us like using the lasers because it's more convenient than a pick or drill, and never used them for anything but mining.
my ,oh my. dove such capslocking behavoir is contra productive. just.wait. you guys seems to forget, that this server is all based on private time spending. we all do it for a hobby, not to stay alive or earn money. it's a giant insolence, that poeple on here demand fast(er) problem solutions or the like.
Base got jacked and roughed up by a laser, I love them for mining but would rather this than them being a potential threat to my goodies. If you can fix that would be even better, how about not working in claimed chunks at all(yours or anyone else's)? All it takes is one scatter shot to set you back to the beginning...
Im not a moderator but........ you picked up a mining lazer and started shooting in someone elses base. "Prohibited: Destruction of other players' property." This is a quote from the rules section which you saw on the page you download the client from. when you first join and first break a block the server automatically posts in chat that even one block destroyed which is another person's property is not allowed. (the folowing is my opinion and not the official server view) I hope this has explained why when you walked into someone elses house and shot stuff it was wrong. If you didnt actualy destroy any of the house's blocks thats fine but if you did...........you'll have to hope sk is feeling nice.

It was quite clear on all of the warnings that you shouldn't destroy, whether its protected or not. Take it up with sk but DONT annoy him about it.

I would like to know if there has been any progress with fixing the problem. Just knowing there has been progress would make me satisfied.
While I know it's Thursday I am sure Sk is fixing the problem as best as he can, I do have a nagging question. I have seen this tossed about in the server chat but nobody can give anybody a definitive answer so I am hoping this can be cleared up: Will we get our Lasers back or will we have to make new ones? I know that for new players, getting a Mining Laser can be taxing. While I do not fit that criteria and could make more, I am looking out for our less equipped players. If the problem has indeed been fixed and we do not get out Mining Lasers back, I think that would be a bit of important info. Everyone enjoy their Thursday.
