I'm not arguing about its potential. I'm complaining that it makes 1/8th size blocks, with the texture sized down to match. One of the BEST things about Microblocks is that they do not do this. LBM is more versatile than Microblocks, but it can't be used to make smoother curves or sharper lines, because it doesn't use the texture for its location in the block, it uses a reduced size texture. :C Now, in combination with the Gullivers mod, LBM is hilarious fun. 83 Edit: And a pity, 1.4.7 Gullivers is not forge compatible. QQ!
I tried to show you that, yes, curves and little stuff can be easily done with this mod, even with shrunk texture! I can't find it anymore, but I saw screenshots of glowstone spheres, perfect and smooth; and efficient in term of light. This to say that if you actually try yourself, you could make things look better than with microblocks, especially because it is more accurate! And BTW, I never meant to install gulliver mod, not needed actually!
You're missing my point: I do not like the smaller textures. That is my opinion. I like the dimensions of the blocks. That's about it. And the Gulliver mod was entirely my own musing.
Though there is this concern that may end any hope of LBM: WARNING – has a tendency to Crash if placing certain modded tile entities, only place if absolutely necessary (Test placement crash logs are welcome) From the 1.4.7 changelog. I'ma go play with it in SSP, see if I can't make a resource processor in a block.
I would like to add this mod, but I or someone has to test it first, and possibly request permission.
I don't mean to sound rude by saying this, but are you actually requesting for permission for mods now?
