Break Applied Energistics buses (Storage, Export, Inport) by breaking the CABLE square with a pick instead of trying to break the attachment. You'll often hit through the attachment and break your chest instead!

Starting out with timers is fine, but sticking with it? I mean I don't understand why people don't want to explore and learn about the mods in more depth. Hell I don't get why people join build a small house and quit. There are people around me who I never see; and my hours of play are erratic.

Why fix something if it isn't broken?

Progress was not made by early risers, but by lazy men trying to find an easier way.

Think of the combine tractor was made by someone who didn't mind putting the effort to make their life easier. For example the logic pipe mod is a big point of contention among people on the server. If people are going to complain about it; they should be willing to go the extra mile to reduce the amount of strain they themselves put on the server. —Just sayin'.

This is assuming that people on the server are not actively attempting to reduce the level of stress they place on the server; an assumption which is sadly misinformed. I also don't see the feasibility of this statement in relation to the original topic of discussion, which was of the reasoning behind further exploration of mods; a bold statement you supported with an example that could be rationalized to being dissatisfied or unhappy with either the server community or structure. Further exploration of mods does not explicitly imply efforts to reduce server load. If you do wish to change the subject, do so in a more conspicuous way.

    Thank you.

It would be narrow minded to think everyone is actively trying to reduce stress they place on the server. We started to get away from the topic about the time you asked "Why fix something if it isn't borken." My point is why do something just because it is easy where there might be a better way.

I find your rationality to be reaching or perhaps transposed, and I would be appreciative if you would avoid making assumptions on the behalf of others.

    You're Awesome.

"Broken" in the sense of this server also includes machines that create undue stress for the server. I would like to imagine that everyone is checking the forums and doing their part to reduce their share of the server CPU time. Your original example does not necessarily fulfill either condition.
Anyways, this argument is devolving into an opinion war so it may be best to just leave it be.

To "update" a two year old post and revive an otherwise dead thread.

Macerate --> Pulverize was the change he made.
