Or when the person you are supposedly "working" with never logs on.

Im not sure if this has been already suggested but I think a valid solution would be to remove logipipes and give anyone who had them enough quartz to set up a applied energistics system.

    thanks

I don't think just *give* is the answer. All logi pipes can be de crafted to basic logi pipes. Maybe setting up a temp NPC to buy back the basic logi pipes for quartz may be the answer, or that may be over thinking it.

I'm with nolan, that is actually a very good idea.

I frown on the massive amount of resources lost by turning Chassi MK2's, Mk3's, Crafting Mk3's, and other rather expensive pipes back into basic pipes, and exchanging those for resources.

Just setup an NPC that trades each pipe for its base components, and cash them in. And perhaps have everyone retrieve their borer, and regenerate the mining world.

This is one of those instances where the mining world SHOULD be regenerated.

Kirazy, it doesn't actually take all that much quartz to set up a comparable system with AE. I think I used maybe 2 stacks of ore, if even that. I probably need another 2 stacks to finish it. If I traded all of my logipipes at the basic level at the rate of say 5 ores per logipipe, I would have way more quartz then I needed. Although this opens up people simply making logpies to get the quartz, but hopefully they will be selling quartz in the market anyway if the mining world is not reset.

I don't see why quartz should be sold. :|

Either extend your mining efforts to new-generation chunks, or lobby for the mining world to be regenerated, as a new ore has been added.

My understanding is logistics pipes is going to be phased out entirely. As such, a refund in the form of a trade in for the resources involved is preferred to trading for quartz. I can mine quartz. I've invested extensive amounts of diamond, gold, and iron into my logistics pipes system, and that system is going to be obviated and removed.

No, I don't want quartz in exchange for all of those.

You invested those resource to achieve the end effect. AE can achieve the same end effect with quartz, the only expensive thing may be diamonds for the advanced circuits, and replacing my logipipe system with AE has maybe used a dozen diamonds. Other then that I see the cost as insignificant, it is basically just glass, iron, gold, and redstone, which I have more than enough of. The only thing standing in my way of returning to the same end effect is quartz.

Yes a lot was invested in logipipes, but I knew before I even got started that logipipes were causing issues. I would be happy with any sort of a refund, or no refund at all seeing the amount of stress and lag these have caused the server and players of the server. Consider what you invested in resources a payment for the stress it caused and the convenience it brought you for that time. Being refunded a resource that enables one to build a better, faster, more versatile, compact, easier to understand and less server intensive system should make anyone happy.

Combining any refund in quartz that I may or may not get, with what I already have, will give me a system that is more then 10x what my logipipe system ever was. I am elated, you should be too. Instead of looking at what you have lost, look at the possibilities of what you have gained.
