My group's TBM: Power Plant: Engine Block: Bore Head is 28x15. This is the maximum size this model can support, as we hit our block limit for a single frame structure. Could probably make our engine block smaller and more efficient if we used Jacketed Blulectric Cable instead of Blulectric wire... Nao post your TBM's!
Do the deployers on the top and bottom stick down cobble to prevent lava/water or something? I was thinking about doing something like that on mine, but there's no way to do it on the corners. Any ideas? Currently my TBM mechanics are nice and small, but I plan on adding a system to automatically recharge and incinerate cobble. I was thinking about putting some of those RP2 thermal generators (forgot the name) on my frame bore itself to rid the need of a remote charging station.
What would happen if on the rare chance 2 where to hit TBM BATTLES =p lol ill post my small one when i get a chance keep in mind i started the other week after not being on for ages so its a bit sad and sorry looking compared to this monster
The amount of material you'd need to cart around on your frame to power it with Thermopiles is kind of intense, since they're incredibly weak at generating power (worse than Solars). As for deployers, though we don't have any on the sides to block lava/water in-flow from the side, in your case to get the corners what I would suggest is you have a row of blockbreakers for the top and bottom, and then behind those a row for the sides. Something like this, as a top down view: Code: FROM THE TOP: [][][][][][][][][][][][][][] <- Top/Bottom [] [] <- Sides FROM THE SIDE: [][] <- Top [] [] [] [] >>FRONT>> [] [] [] [] [][] <- Bottom
I have made a vertical frame quarry, I wanted to get a more rounded assortment of ores and also for better charging. Right now it just goes in a straight line, soon I am going to upgrade it to be omni directional. My design is probably a little un conventional as I wanted to get the most blocks broken, while wanting to reduce the number of blocks moved when it is mining for both reduction of server stress and energy efficiency. So I have the quarry head that does the block breaking, and then I have the drive platform with the batteries and motors that stays stationary until I need to move the platform.
