http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic...200sspsmpic2-forestry-mffs-railcraft-support/ It's a really handy mod that does what it says on the tin. It allows you to condense blocks in short, but it has some really nice features like crafting with some of the condensed block, but it's configurable in the config.
With Barrels, Quantumchests, and Crates gone, there's no alternative to condensing anything apart from the usual.
Not with the amount of resources that 104 tech mods results in. GregTech alone can turn 1 ore unit into up to 6 slots of storage (2 stacks of ingots, 2 various dusts and filled and empty water cells). Then things like sulfur which is almost as prevalent as nikolite. Then you have the dozens of HarvestCraft items. I've only ever mined by hand, I have no tunnel bore/quarry/frame digger, and I already have nearly 20 full gold chests of items. Storage is a huge issue already and will only get worse.
Scrap my precious Peanut Seeds and second thousand stacks of dirt!? Still need to set up some kind of recycling indeed. The tree taps break project tables bug has be hesitant to make compressors though, so I've been holding off. Soon though!
Is that fixed? I crashed with it last week and my friend crashed due to it the other night. Had to make a normal crafting table just to avoid that bug. heh
this mod could get really usefull as I am making a city, and I would prefer having one double chest instead of 35 double chests you see ?
Frankly, Barrels look better, and are much more functional. SK just needs to stop being anal about it and let us have the Factorization mod. :C
Yeah, i agree. I don't thinks it's very good to deprive a whole group of people from one thing just because it's his decision. I mean c'mon, if it's ugly then just don't use it, many other people will.
Agreed. I personally am not of the opinion that it is ugly, but even if it was (is?), that's nothing that cannot be fixed with some texture-packing.
With that logic, I am also depriving you all of 200 other mods because it's my decision as well, even if other people would use it, and so it is wrong and I should proceed to start adding in these 200 other mods. I have not added Factorization because: Resource sinks slow down everyone's development, which means I can have the server cope better because I have more time to tweak things. It would further encourage Logistics Pipes usage. That mod is very expensive to run (BuildCraft in general is). That said, More chests means more Logistics Pipes to access, which may or may not be considerably slower. Meaning: Factorization may be added, but more down the line, when everything is more stable. With due respect, our team had already had to deal with these storage problems long before you guys and most people, and so we are considerably familiar with the problem. We were producing a billion resources and we ended up having hundreds of storage chests, all managed by a machine of course. Literally on the second day of learning about the mods, I had already planned a massive pipe network with request systems because I thought it was the natural progression from the first thing I made with BuildCraft/RedPower2, an auto-ore smelter.
