Alice has been updated with patch #6. The changes include: Updated ExtraBees to version 1.4.9.31-prerelease. Updated Thaumcraft to version 3.0.2b. Added NEIPlugins. Removed QuickCraft. (Note: If you still want QuickCraft, some instructions will be provided to install it manually.) You will be prompted to update your game when you login with the launcher.
The new Thaumcraft is breaking Logistics pipes order screen: Crashes everytime you click on anything. Can we please get rid of Thaumcraft or roll it back till other mods are compatible?
This is entirely game breaking for me. TE wrenches still not working and not being able to use that mod to it's full potential was at least work-aroundable, but this is completely game stopping. I just tried an entire wipe and reinstall of Minecraft and Alice and still the same thing is happening. Mk2 Remote Order pipe screen gives render error and crashes you out of game. Seems we need to upgrade to .78 Logistics Pipes to fix this please. http://ci.thezorro266.com/job/Logis...uild/dist/LogisticsPipes-MC1.4.7-0.7.0.78.jar See here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic...-updated-2412013/page__st__6640#entry20535106
It's because LogisticsPipes hooks into TC and apparently the changes to TC's API are not backwards compatible (even if the version for TC barely inched higher).
what's sucky is logistics pipes only hooks into TC in a very mild way, so it's really shitty that it's causing this much trouble. I think it would solve a lot of problems if we voted on removing TC3.
Thaumcraft was one of the reasons that inspired new ideas. It was the main mod that I wanted to play. It is complicated to get into, but it isn't interfering with anything.
Uh, Not nearly as much as other things. The biggest issues before was with hungry chests and alembics. alembics was solved by replacing the crucible. Logistics has been a pain since forever. Just don't use Thaumcraft as it was just updated, or don't use Logistics pipes until it works. Voting to remove a mod that has not been in the way much compared to all the other ones is simply ridiculous. Are new thaumcraft things crashing the server or just the player?
Thaumcraft 3.0.2c is out now which fixes two major crashes with Golems picking up items and Players getting hit with Frost wands. Logistics has had one bug which was fixed by downgrading it, this latest bug was caused by another mod and again the fix was simply to upgrade to the proper version. Both bugs only affected those that use the mod, which apparently is just me this latest time. Grr. There is some console spam, but nothing server breaking. Thaumcraft however is an endless list of bugs and workarounds and non-functioning features and items including server killing crashes. Alembics not working without destroying crucibles, Hungry Chests breaking the server, Silverwood saplings not working, Greatwood saplings not working, Golems crashing the server, wands crashing the server, wisps killing everyone, greifers intentionally destroying aura/nodes/causing flux. Many of the new features of Thaumcraft require world gen now as well, and our entire world has already been generated. I absolutely love Thaumcraft, but in a server like this with unaccountable people doing whatever they want and experimental server software interfering with the basic workings of mods it's maybe not a good idea, as awesome as it could have been.
Logistics Pipes crashing is caused by it hooking into Thaumcraft, not by Thaumcraft affecting Logistics Pipes. Many of the mods have crashed the server, considerably more and far worse than Thaumcraft. If we're going to go by that reasoning, we'd have to remove IndustrialCraft2, Thermal Expansion, Wireless Redstone, and a bunch of other mods. At least the Hungry Chest crash bug is easily recoverable by "normal people" as opposed to the instant crash-on-load bugs with the other mods. The wisps can likely be disabled from damaging players if needed. They are easily fixed if we choose to. Silverwood saplings crashing the server is not caused by Thaumcraft but by the server.
