Hello! I have been getting this issue where it is really laggy (we're talking like 4 frames) at spawn. Everywhere else is fine though. I also had the problem on the old map. I don't have a great computer, but it can usually run Minecraft just fine. It is even this way when I have everything on minimal. Does anyone else have this problem, or know of a fix to it? I haven't got this problem, but I think it's because of the effects and not machinas ("effects" are those special blocks creating special effects where you place them, so you can make something prettier, adding lights, and others, but it may decrease FPS if you haven't got a good computer at all)... On top of that, Alice has a bigger client then default Minecraft, so you use more RAM to load it, and it could sometimes decrease FPS!
Yeah, it could make it better! You can also Google for "Garbage collector" and apply it to the launcher in the field "JVM arguments"
Garbage collector mostly works better with at least Dual Core processors, but right now (and since like 3 years) most of the porcessors have 2 cores... It just makes tasks running with specific parameters wich could make less laggs in game in specific cases, such as installing a texture pack, it could make the game a bit faster, and sometimes could remove some laggs and increase FPS, it's just to try, and sk's launcher handles it, so it's fine!
My FPS doesn't dip quite that low, but it does drop from around 200-300fps down to ~60fps. Likely due to all the microblocks...
I don't have any FPS decrease too, my graphic card is an AMD one, so with AMD Chipsets. Is that your cas Shadow ?
So drivers/chipsets aren't responsible. Could be the quality of the card ? Wich is weird because my computer is three years old (at LEAST) so my card hasn't really the best performance! (Radeon HD 5450, but I'm going to change my computer soon, so I'l get a Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 OC, wich is better than GTX 670, and an Intel Core i7 processor. This is for the main config.)
You mean to beat your computer ? I don't try to get a better computer than YOU specifically, I try to get one of the best computer... For a reasonable price... You want to rage more? Then just know that most of the component of the computer are offered by the firm where my father works, only the graphic card (and maybe the alimentation, I don't know) will get paid by me. So in total, my new computer will cost at most 400€ for me, instead of more than 1000€ ! I love what this firm does when it has more money than expected, to close up all the accounts

As real, if I wrote how I'll get the msot of my computer, regarding from now, I see it's because i'm happy of having a such stuff, because it didn't happened before... So a spoiled bart ? I wouldn't say that! I don't mean I am poor too, I just mean that I am not that rich, and when we saved up enough to buy something cool, we are happy to show it to everyone... Didn't you do it on the random picture thread, Shadow ? You displayed the new stuff you recently bought! BTW I don't deny that I try to get better, but not physically or through telling "Hey! I am better than you", but more likely through looking at people reaction, and sometimes directly asking them their problems with me... I don't think you have a huge ego. I think you're just proud of achievments. I'm actually working towards a new computer too. I can pretty much tell you as a fact that it'll be 5 times better than my sister's.
So we was trying to find if the bugs comes from the graphic card, then we talked about graphic cards, then I explained what will be my new computer, then it gone to rich kids. BTW, this is how to turn irony into real explanation making every possible joke bad.
