Matter Fabricator is the GregTech UUM Generator. Mass Fabricator is the IC2 UUM Generator. Matter Fab requires Iridium. Mass Fab does not.

The ore dictionary would suffice. Technically, the ore dictionary can work for any item type iirc, but its mainly been used for ore-type things. Would require mod authors implementing saplings to use it, however (though I believe it is as simple as one line of code per item).
You've disabled the use of BC/Forestry Circuits and such swapping with IC2 Circuits, as well as the Electrum recipes for Circuits which doubles your yield (Electrum in place of Redstone = Double yield. Gregtech by itself when combined with Advanced Solars makes them rather difficult to acquire, and very expensive as well. They're also not the end-all be all of power anymore, there are any number of vastly more powerful end-game power production introduced with Gregtech. The Fusion reactor is the holy grail, and reasonably easy to fuel. Just expensive to build and implement, but can generate up to 100,000 EU/tick. I would suggest exchanging CS for ASP, and calling it good with the Gregtech solar recipe enabled. ASP also has two recipes for each Solar, hard and easy modes. Just use hard for each and all is well.

With everything that has been disabled, you might as well not even install gregtech. And I am 100% sure i said that gregtech makes basic solars about 5 times harder to get and thus makes it much harder to even get an MV solar, let alone a HV one. But i apologize if my wording was able to be misread to be concerned with compactsolars, when I meant basic ic2 solars.
Yeah, I understand that SK wants to balance the server so it'll take us longer to get to the endgame, but it's allot of things that have been nerfed or disabled. It's starting to take away from the fun of the game and the having the options we're use to on modded Minecraft. Take for example OpenCCSensors, it gives other options to get nuclear reactor data amongst other things but it doesn't get added simply because it does things a different way (reading things at a range). Now because of this, We'll have less and less uses for ComputerCraft. Edit: I'm not saying add a dirt to diamond mod and it'll be happy fun time, i'm just asking that the nerfs don't go overboard to the point where no one would want to play or have their creativity restricted.
This was a very bad argument... I read this and some of your previous points as: let's just take all of the inconveniences in the game and add a block to get rid of that so the player does barely anything, but collect a ton of resources, craft, and place the block down. In my opinion, creativity is often caused by restrictions. Just because something could be done an easier way doesn't necessarily mean it is the most fun or creative way to do it.
The number of people that would find GregTech fun is a very small number of people. A lot of people are not very familiar with the mods and forcing them to jump over 30 more hoops to get a basic windmill (and other components) is not reasonable. In the case of solar panels, I want them to be cheap because it's a nice introductory block, but I want the higher end ones to be more expensive. GregTech didn't exist for the vast majority of the past and therefore, for the entire time up until GregTech was added, people's creativity has been restricted, by your logic. Did you complain about missing GregTech when it didn't exist? No, so there wasn't any creativity restricted because you didn't even think about it until someone else handed you the idea on a silver platter. Continuing on your logical conclusion, even if I added GregTech, your creativity would still be restricted because there are still many many things that you cannot do, even if *you* yourself aren't capable of dreaming of them. I asked for feedback, and I will make changes accordingly, but I'm not here to listen to silly arguments that make no sense about "restricting creativity" or other some BS.
I concur with this, and didn't notice when I was scrolling. The IDSU is an END-GAME power storage block, enabling cross-dimensional power nets. It's also enormously expensive. Nova, Igneous Extruder from Thermal Expansion. Does the exact same thing, but better. Also allows you to create smooth stone or obsidian depending on settings (and consumes the requisite resources to do so, of course). I second this. The Ruby2EnergyCrystal isn't as big a deal, but look at the end-game Gregtech recipies and the sheer number of Lapotron crystals that are involved. This is a critical recipe.
P.S. There are actually other pipe mods in addition to RedPower. If you want this enabled, you have to provide a reason more specific than "improvements." If I recall, there is already another mod (Advanced Power Management) that charges your armor when you stand on it. You can live with that. Back in the day, you didn't even have the Charging Bench or GregTech. Do you know what we did? Built a machine that took in any electrical items and charged them, and then alerted you with a nice ring when it was done. If I recall, 60 seconds was stated somewhere. There's plenty of harm in allowing players to invisibly hit other players. Because it's a way that may encourage pumping Nether of its lava. Most people build in only one area, and the reason they need a system to teleport energy is often because they want to pump Nether. Perhaps we can enable it, but provide me a specific reason that you will use the IDSU for. What a vague reason. We never ran out of chests on our organization system, except on items that we had massive amounts of. This was with normal chests as well. What about the items that we had massive amounts of? A nice storage silo with a RP2 computer interface that let you request what you wanted in any quantity, which would stock our main stock room so we'd never run out. Honestly, if you are finding yourself filling your diamond chests with stuff, it's because you have a very unorganized storage system. Thermal Expansion also has a cobble machine, which if I recall, even provides obsidian. I am disabling the one from TubeStuff so yes, no one will use it. Unfortunately, GregTech also suggests disabling RP2 ore generation, which would make RP2 items considerably more expensive, but not doing so, according to GregTech, makes GregTech too easy. RP2 is already largely neglected by most people because its recipes are more expensive than equivalent BC machines. I unfortunately do not know what is the balancing factor if RP2 ore is left in, because GregTech's documentation is very light on details.
I'm willing to add this if someone can provide some reasonable use cases for this, particularly for the cross-dimensional power nets.
As I have never particularly built more than 290 blocks from my home way point, I can say that the IDSU wouldn't be of much use to most people. (I do actually do things... please don't say that I am not like you.) Edit: I also have never used the nether for lava, other than for heating up biogas engines. The only real thing I built more than 290 blocks is a water-mill farm, which was never finished because it was too hard to shuffle materials from place to place. (Probably materials transport is a bigger problem than energy transport right now.)
