First off, remember to like our Facebook page if you want to hear updates about the server occasionally on your Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/skcraft The current standing of server-side mods for the 1.4.6 version of our Alice industrial server is: Decorative: Furniture Mod Greg's Lighting Gameplay: ExtraBees ExtraBiomesXL Infestation Mo's Creatures Mystcraft (maybe -- still under consideration) Paintball Farming: HarvestCraft Magic: Thaumcraft Industrial: Additional Buildcraft Objects Additional Pipes Advanced Power Management Advanced Solar Panels CompactSolars Buildcraft 3 Forestry IndustrialCraft2 Nuclear Control Thermal Expansion TubeStuff RedPower2 Redstone: ComputerCraft MiscPeripherals Wireless Redstone Minecart: Railcraft Steve's Carts (maybe -- still under consideration) Utility: ChargePads GregTech IronChests The following mods are not in consideration at this time but may be added in a near (or next) future update: Balkon's Weapon Mod Gravitation Suit Portal Gun Helper Crops SeedManager Forestry Plugins InfiniTubes Modular Force Field System PowerConverters EnderStorage A number of mods have been ruled out at this time. A list of them can be found on our Alice server spreadsheet. There are comments on some of the fields which explain the reasoning for the decision. Please click them if you are curious. View the spreadsheet at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AocVHzayvfjAdFkzcVJRTXRlREFGdUdGdG1xRmZyNnc#gid=0 The window for comments is still open: If a mod that you want considered is not on that list, please (re-)suggest it now in this thread. If you wish to comment on a potential conflict or balance problem on any of the mods suggested, please note that now. If you think a mod should not be added, or a mod that has been rejected should be added, please make that suggestion here as well.
Can I ask why the gravitation suit mod not up for consideration at this time? And it would be better to use compact solars instead of advanced solars, since gregtech makes it much harder to get even a MV solar, let alone a HV. And also, why not enderstorage?
Same as Shadow, and PortalGun, why is that not up for consideration? I for one would LOVE to see portal gun on the server.
If the plan is to use gregtech's solar recipe, compact solars would be the better choice. Advanced solars are very cheap, and probably would make things like fusion reactors obsolete.
Portal gun is op with the range on that thing. I think recently there was a fuel system added though, haven't tested it, but I can only guess it is cheap.
A) I think PortalGun should be added as well. B) Are you saying that I won't have my rotary macerator???
For the "consider later" mods, I just don't want to deal with loading it up and testing it, or thinking about it, for now. There's quite a bit for me to worry about at the moment. I've swapped ASP with CompactSolars.
No PowerConvertors? I know you can use forestry but still... EDIT: Just noticed: No AdvancedMachines???????
Ah, okay. Fair enough. You crossed out advanced power management instead of advanced solar panels. And I would also like to put the transformers mod up as a suggestion.
the mod list looks good as long as you are wiling to consider adding new ones later like computer craft (with saving enabled ) why the weapon mod? i mean there cool but? idk seems like a lot of grieving tools of a pvp nature and if they do block damage a world nature as well? but i guess to each there own like id REALLY like to see "xycraft"(spelled poorly) get added when it becomes public it looks like it will be a really nice and fun alternative high tech mod route
I'll miss the Advanced Machines myself, especially when I play SSP I would like to see Smart Moves and Elemental Creepers, we need more creeps XD
I'd really like Factorization to be added, in particular due to the unique nature of barrels. Additionally, Wrath Lamps are neat (if not exactly unique) and routers can be very useful for sorting/automation in a way unique from computers and tubes. EDIT: Barrels basically hold 64 stacks of one item (or more with an upgrade) and are good for those pack rats out there that hate to part with a single cobble block. Additionally, I am in favor of Mystcraft, it adds a useful teleportation ability as well as some fun portals. However, new ages should certainly be restricted or be very expensive (as has been noted earlier). Also, GregTech really fits better in the Industrial section vs. the Utilities section, but no matter.
