I have tried that, but unfortunately due to my differing time zone, I rarely catch the stream, if ever (I once caught Soaryn recording late at night for him, but apparently dw20 doesn't record anywhere near that time).

Ah, I have time zone problems as well. The only solution I've found is to get an IRC client, and set "direwolf20 joined the game" to ping you in the #direwolf20 irc (shadw's forgeirc mod). But, this solution is if you have absolutely no life outside of sitting at your computer :p

The new manager is absolutely amazing. I was only just wondering about how awesome something would be if it could extract from an inventory without timers and *BAM*. Eloraam <3

There's rumors circling around that it's very soon. Don't hold me to it but allot of peeps are sayin' it's aimed for the weekend. Sounds reasonable since CB updated his mods for Rp2 and Soaryn just released his XYCraft (part of it). I've been off the scene for awhile now but I just checked today and was just bombarded with rumors.

Yep. Release sounds like it will be here very soon. Only time will tell, however...

Edit: Sounds like it will be released very soon. Direwolf has tweeted that he will be using a custom Modpack that will be available via the FTB Launcher very soon for his Season 5 SSP LP. On previous occasions he has stated that he will not start without RedPower 2.

why shouldnt he not start without RP2? it completely changed what you can do and no automation will come properly out of redstone dust...

What I was meaning was that he has stated that he won't start without RP2, and he is stating that he will be starting soon. Meaning that RP must be close, since he will use it in his SSP LP.

And I though I were the only confusing one in my messages ;)
Anyway, you look right: RedPower is really close, we just wait, again and again... Might Minecraft 1.5 come before the mod to be ported, and those too frenquent updates are killing the mods....
I hope Eloraam will keep her mod for a long time, because we all need it!

1.4.6 is slated for release some time before New Year's Eve to bring Fireworks. Should be fairly easy to port to 1.4.6.
RP2 is looking like it could be released this weekend or early this week.
1.5 is scheduled for January/February. Labelled the redstone update, I have a feeling it will break things. Badly.

Such incremental updates! Those machines don't let me do many things that I couldn't do when I started playing back in January. I mean it's definitely easier to do some things, but that only makes it more boring :(

I also may or may not have access to the private beta actually (I have whitelist at certain places). Only problem is that I've been having fun without MC and haven't bothered getting on D:

Hmm... I see your point, but the reason that we lost interest was not because things have become boring (at least not for me), but because less people play now because of the lack of an updated version and the lack of players wanting to stick with older Minecraft versions.

    Lucky!

Seems to happen to everyone when their hasn't been a feature update in a while. I'm hoping that RP2 will reinstate interest in Minecraft upon release by bringing back the players.

The updates sadly don't do much for me. In my opinion, there is only one optimal way to do most tasks with the machines, and once we do that, no one really wants to do it over again. Ironically what keeps us coming back are not the mods, but the building aspect of Minecraft.

I suspect that relatively few people build their base at a rate equal to us. From what I have seen, there are few folks that even get to the level of base design as decent as the one we had by day three of playing the mods, and if they can, it probably will be a twist of confusing inconsistent tunnels spread all around the base without standard wall or floor designs...

    STANDARDS, MAN, STANDARDS!

Ah, so people are taking back their mind!

I play Vincent since the start, I tried Alice... and left it:
I remember why I played Minecraft, why I bought Minecraft, I always keep in minds my objectives, and objectively decompose them, to understand the essential point!
For Minecraft, it is basically the build:
If Minecraft didn't have build, then it would get to be an action game, or a RPG, absolutely not a FPS anyway....
But, the only thing that makes it "hard to label!" (as says sometimes your minecraft title screens), is the build feature...

COME BACK TO THE ORIGINS! COME BACK TO VINCENT :D

I find personally that Vanilla, and Industrial-themed modded Minecraft are almost two separate games on their own so I enjoy both Vanilla and modded Minecraft.

I didn't take back anything. We always paid deep attention to the building aspect even if we had machines to work with. In fact, we tore down our first house and built a new one on the third day once we got the general gist of all the machines. For that new base, we literally had a blueprint in our head where every pipe and wire was going to go, and how every machine on our base would be connected. Everything was then covered and made to look nice, and no room, wall, or tunnel had one misplaced block.

The main reason I like to play on Vincent is because it doesn't lag my game.
