Went to go see how life was on Vincent today but I couldn't log in, I tried a few times, restarted my client a few times, but still wouldn't work. Pics:
Have you got Minecraft 1.4.2 ? Or did you update to Minecraft 1.4.3/1.4.4 ? If you correspond to one of thise cases then just update to Minecraft 1.4.2 (google it to find a stable download link, beware of old 1.4 link, they refer to minecraft beta 1.4, so a really old version)
Dytz, it has to do with the login servers of Mojang i think. They're a bit tardy in the last time. Try again.
I hate it as much as a Wii Sports player (if you played Wii Sports, the default wii game, you know why I hate it, and you hate it too!)
No one remembers of those moments when you were stuck in a golf game and the wii to tell you each time you fail: "Try again" ? I remember it... unfortunately...
I used the launcher with the vincent jar, and had it force updated Even if they are, shouldn't it log me in as offline and then all I have to do is auth? Dafuq is an argument about wii sports doing in this thread? I tried many times, and also force updated. SUMMARY: It started working a few hours later. So time solved it Although vincent is dead for now anyway so oh well.
But... as real, you didn't answer my very first question, look at the top of the thread, then I can't know if that could cause the bug, if it isn't that, then it is probably a mod, the fact that you force updated may have maid things worse, because while you force updated, you gone to minecraft 1.4.4 (I think) then you might have made impossible the connection between your client and the server... Try to update to Minecraft 1.4.2 using this link to download the right minecraft.jar and then delete your config and chack your launcher (if this one could install mods) to see if there is no trace of any mod or thing that could interfere with your minecraft version. That answer satisfies you ?
