that's hard... i think we need moderator priority on the podcast while there's a corresponding chat or irc for other ppl... but that means we would need a copy of the irc log along with the podcast
We can always nominate a number of users to participate along with select admins that are available at the time. Those users can cycle out each episode.
There should also be a mic quality standard and anyone not meeting it should be either muted or kicked to prevent the whole thing from just becoming a rage-fest (I have a better mic for those who have been on Teamspeak with me).
I agree. We still need to compile a list of potential services (either voice-only or with video too).
Video is unnecessary IMO. If someone wants to demonstrate something, they can set up a twitch.tv and direct us to it on their own.
I tend to agree. In this case TeamSpeak may be able to fulfill our goal. Someone can record the audio and reupload it afterwards.
I agree to Teamspeak as there are alot of options for moderators to keep things civil. And I know Shadow did that before so It should be easy to do. We also need an event day and how often it'll recur. Monthly would be my choice because like you said, things don't change much on here. As for the time that it goes to, we can shoot for say, an hour, and just give or take.
Yeah I'd like to do something like the second Saturday (or Sunday if that ends up being better) of the month. To do a bi-weekly schedule, you can just add another episode every fourth week. An hour would be a nice length as well.
Saturday would be great (thou i'm not sure for anime guys). There's also the place where we upload our episodes. iTunes would be a great place for iPhone users and as for Androids, how about a section in the SKCraft Mobile app? For desktop users, there's always here.
As far as i know, anime night atm is "down" till further because of server trouble. So I think this would be a good alternative.
It has been a lot of time since the team speak server is off, like 3 days or even more (didn't check before). But about the mod conference, you should know that there's a thread, a sort of debate that talks about the realism of minecraft, and should it get better or not, and everyone in this thread including me) is right with the idea of a such event, it could really change the experience of the server, and as sk89q just add recipes, I think if he's not too busy he could remove ones, I hope at least, anyway this conference shouldn't be ONLY about mods, but also plugins, many people know a lot of plugins, and some could make event, controlled by players, but some could also make other things that could still be greater. I think that we all answered to the question "Should we make it?"... But there are still two questions: - When ? - How ?
General consensus: When TBD once TeamSpeak is back up and we get stuff organized. We can aim for the final Sunday as then the show will turn into a summary of the month. No specific dates have been decided, but Saturdays or Sundays sound to be the most popular. How TeamSpeak. Chat will be recorded and uploaded to iTunes, SKCraft Mobile, SKCraft.com, etc.
For now, SKCrafters are free to use gkcraft.zapto.org until the official one is back up. And as long as I'm in the TS, anyone who's admin on here can OP.
Awesome, thanks! Users can suggest topics for the first episode (theme is "Alice Mod Conference" for now, though you can suggest other topics, too) here: Click me Dates and times are TBD.
