I would like to request the addition of a server status indicator to the main page of the website, that way people don't have to post the numerous "is it down?" threads each time we have a problem. I know that it is possible because I have seen it done before, and I don't think it even needs a plugin. There are probably at least a few plugins to make it easier to do, however. Also, it definitely be helpful in times like this when we have very frequent server crashes for unknown reasons (or at least unknown to us) so that we don't have to sit there hitting the refresh button in minecraft to know when the server is back.
SKCraft Mobile has this feature. But, as far as I know, it's static and TexasGamer updates it himself (It'll be dynamic in the future, according to him).
As far as I know, the forum is a Xenforo one with XenPorta enabled, then why not to take the following plugin for XenPorta? http://www.xfteam.info/threads/herocraft-development-server-status-block.2988/ I think that PMing the guy that makes the plugin telling "Could you pass me a copy for the server of sk89q, the guy that made the worldedit" will work
I don't exactly update it very regularly, but the page is there. :s The plan is to have a publicly accessible JSON page for the mobile app (and other software, such as a web front end) to get the server(s)'s statuses. Of course, this requires effort from sk. That is the main problem, sadly.
