With the recent update, Mekanism generators have been completely nerfed. From 200 RF/t to 3RF/t. I recently spent heaps of resources on around 50 extra windmills to power my RotaryCraft engines and now I can't power 1 to 5% capacity. How is this even acceptable?
Then so much for everything I already f-ing made. These updates piss me off sometimes. Everything I had set up that supported every machine in my base now can't even support my base IDLE, and I don't even have an ME system.
Well then I am sure they would be happy to give us refunds on this. Considering the fact we made them because they produce a good amount of power.
I wouldn't expect refunds. The MPT can be hack 'n' slash about things, and a change this radical and impacting should have come with advance notice so people could move off of them. -shrug-
Upside is Big Reactors got a huge performance buff. So if you had that as a backup, expect to be using that as a primary power source.
Soul, a lot of people had no other forms of power and are now more or less without power. The change is acceptable, just it was far, far too abrupt.
And I find myself agreeing with this sentence here. Some form of advanced notice would have been appreciated. Even if I wanted to set up a big reactor, now I have no power to process the resources for one.
Sure they got a buff. But I can't use my machines, can't process my ores, soon won't be able to access my ME system. How can I make more machines if I can't use my machines?
Evidently there's a tesseract channel that has free RF. I think it was Public 12 or something like that. If you need a tesseract to use it for the time being, just pm me.
When the server comes back up and I am online I will be providing free power on public tesseract channel 12 (May change) I can provide quite a bit of power, but with multiple people on it may fluctuate. This will be a temporary stopgap to help players process/access their AE systems.
Fairly certain the whole point of the nerf is to discourage use of windmills because it causes the server to suffer a great deal. Building 300 more windmills is helping absolutely NOTHING. Edit: Though I still understand your frustration, to a point.
