    I think this would be good, because people get annoyed with others and don't want to listen to them whine or whatever. However you should not be able to ignore mods ect. Joining a channel would not work because you can still see them, only in gray, and turning chat off wouldn't work either if you just wanna ignore a certain person.

    Also, I would be willing to write a plugin if needed.

    if people are whining just laugh at them as i do but thats just in my nature i wont use this like ever

    I guess he did, it works perfect for me and doesn't say you don't have perms or whatever, I think it just intercepts the command and "deletes" what is said by whoever you ignore.

    This sounds cool, as long as you don't publicly announce that you are muting someone.
