If it seriously took that long just to get 1, there might be a problem with the drops.

The other thing is that you have to fight out in the open so you take damage. I have gone through two sets of diamond armor so far.

Why?, would you not use a bow?

I did not have a Skeleton spawner at first, so my arrow supply was low. I still take some damage using a looting sword on them. Blazes spawn too.

Ah okay. Yeah, blazes spawn out in the open ik. But if you're having that much trouble, you might want to do what Etho did to get the skulls.

Hop on Vincent some time and I will show you my 'farm'. BTW I got my second skull today. about 40 Wither Skeletons this time.
