    I have decided that a voice server would be great for some players, who would rather not chat, but use voice instead. Vent, Teamspeak or Mumble would be the best, and those are the most popular. You can run a 8 person Teamspeak server on around 512mb of ram. Multiple channels for different server/things.

    It's been talked about a bunch. Some people don't like to do voice, others don't have mics. So it's not a huge priority.

    I'm also pretty sure there used to be a TeamSpeak server, but no one ever used it.

    If we want to promote a voice server, it should be integrated with the server/forums to list online users. Otherwise the server will start out empty and no one will bother coming in to check, because it'll probably be empty.

    That is true sk89q, I will be looking to see if any of these have a good enough API currently to access the Users on the server, and then we could report them. I know Mumble is open source, so we might could add something. (I think)

    Even if some don't like using voice, a lot of people don't like typing and would rather talk. Some would rather type.

    To be honest, if we could build the "voice client" in the SKCraft Launcher, that would be epic, although so modding would be needed to use the jar. Then, even if you did not want to speak, you could listen, and mute your mic. Also, even if it was separate, we could let people listen, but not speak.

    is there any mods that add irc and vent to a server??? so that we can see names and etc?

    because often i will be offline and i want to check up on the server without playing
