I have selected and tried to add an avatar pic for the forums, size and SIZE within limits(pixel/MB), but all I ever get is a 'broken link'. I thought it was supposed to be easy, but apparently I haven't bribed the forum goblins enough. Anyone for ideas?
i have a similar issue. like a month ago i tried to change my avatar. it said, it has been saved ( or changed) but it wasn't. i tried a link and a usual upload. also tried different sizes.
Well, for mine to work, I had to change my gravatar, since simply uploading my file kept giving me problems with it reverting or going blank.
so i need to make an gravitar account? just what are the requirments to upload my super cool avatar anyway?
Umm many would argue that Gravatar is not useless. Make an account with them, and wonder why when you join other services, they already have your profile picture... Gravatar is very popular.
Ah sorry for the slightly delayed response, you will need a Gravatar account, but if you have a Wordpress account, you should be able to log in through that. As for any other requirements, it's probably just some file size and pixel count requirements. Similarly to what Penagwin said, its both useful and popular, did I mention it was useful? Wait yes I did, then maybe I didn't mention their popularity... Either way, grab an account, its fast and easy, and works.
