Black friday, *****! Bundled computers come cheaper than building one. I gotta put in more work to save less money :P. And, I plan to remove windows 8 and do some hardening lol.
Bundled computers do not come cheaper, in 99% of cases. That case is cheap, the mobo isn't even designed for gaming (it's not z87), you don't need a 4770k for gaming, they don't specify the power supply or ram, which means it's generic. Also they use the stock cooler... CyberPower is the worst place you can buy a prebuilt.
Bundled computers always come cheaper on black friday. One weakpoint is the mobo because it's mATX and it'll be the first thing I'll need to upgrade later. However, I did do a bit of digging before I bought it and it actually is z87. They also actually specify the RAM (2x4GB) and I saw that they used the stock cooler but that won't matter much since I don't plan to do any oc despite the unlock.
I also really don't get what you're saying that I don't need a K processor for gaming yet you insist that anything that isn't z87 ain't for gaming when the only key difference on the z87 is the features for a K processor.
I didn't say a K processor, I said 4770k. A 4670k would have been much better, since you don't get much extra out of an i7 if you're only doing gaming. If you do virtualization or heavy video editing you would be able to use it.
You do realize this was $700 total w/ shipping to me on black friday, right? How dare they give me a good processor! And, with my current enrollment in uscybperpatriot, virtualization in the future for our images will be very possible as well as arma 3 STILL not being optimized and using a stupid amount of cpu resources for physics calculations which should be done on the GPU, I think a 4770K would be just fine.
