When i world edit in solar panels they are turned on there side rather then facing upward, so i have no idea how to fix this, and i really don't want to have to hand place 3000 solar panels :(

but when i go to hook it up to the MFSU it doesn't work because it isn't facing upward.

well then just shift click the from the top with a wrench, and if that doesn't work, you'll be placing solars for a while.

Still should just be a visual bug. Solar panels always face upward.

It's because when you worldediting it in, it's not making solar panels, just what looks like a solar panel but is actually a generator. Worldedit doesn't do forge ids and is ignoring it so instead of 246:3 (id for solar panels), it's going for 246 (generators). So, yeah it's a visual bug :p. Just put some coal in that solar panel :p and it'll fill that MFSU.

Unfortunately, no. You can only set the id for machines and not the forge ids in the regular id. Kinda sucks but that's how it is for almost all forge mods.

Why don't you use the stack command?

You can place 3025 solar panels (in an arrange of 55x55 blocks) by just placing one and typing some commands...

Place one block in some corner of your arrange and select it with //wand.
Turn left or right and while looking to that direction type //stack 34. Now type //expand 34 for expanding the selection to cover all solar panels and look back to the front. Type //stack 34 and you will have 35*35 panels!

PS: I don't remember but you may need a //copy command before typing //stack.!

I will place a image tutor here in a few minutes :)

I couldn't make it work then i was going to delete this post but gk had already posted something, then I just striked it out! :D

    I'm still trying :D

Oh yeah... I see that now...

Could someone explain me what's the diference between wool and other items?

I mean, I can set wool's diferent colors by typing it's name after the wool id (35)
    like //set 35:1, //set 35:2, //set 35:3 and so on!

Yeah, that's what i was thinking too. You can do that with the different types of wood, wool, etc. (vanilla blocks) but not with any mod blocks. Forge ids maybe?

    Forge ids?

Also, it works 100% fine for me on alice, but there is a visual bug causing them to look like they are turned on their side. This shouldn't be a problem though because they are told to check if the block can see the sky and if it can produce power and if not don't, it shouldn't matter if the texture is wrong.

By the way, I used the wand to select a region and then used //set 246:3.

Well that's what was supposed to happen, but for me either on ssp or smp the only thing I get is a generator " visually masked" as a solar panel! :(

Let me show you a pic:

Odd, I haven't tried in singleplayer at all, but both on alice and a server that I just set up it works fine. Could you explain to me what you are doing exactly?

    hmmm, nice...

here is exactly what I do:
    • place a block somewhere
    • type //wand
    • right and left click that placed block
    • type //set 246:3
