We will be updating Alice when RedPower PR5b2 comes out, as b1 was pulled for being too buggy. This update will also update the server to Minecraft 1.2.5, and RedPower will get a berth of new features (frames, computers, new logic gates, etc.)
I was wanting to ask about any mod additions when updating to 1.2.5 like idk some ic2 addons like charging bench or additional buildcraft objects for BC, just curious because I haven't really heard anything.
Oh I dunno, Dynmap would be rather fun to look over ... I mostly want to see how computers will work out. They sound rather nifty on their own, but I can't see them being put to much practical use (and wouldn't running a whole lot of them murder the server?). Would love to tinker with them, given the chance.
yeah i was thinking the computers may kill the server in large numbers but will make complex redstone circuits a lot smaller... witch will be great sense im building a "curtain for my 3x9x1 window and the current circuit ive built for it takes up the whole bottom floor of the building i created -.-... i think redpower would go great with the Aether mod... you think you could add it? i tried making it work on my own system but i know i did something wrong cause all i could get was black or white screen... (thankfully i havnt hit blue screen yet)
SK is not the one doing the mod porting, that's mcportcentral.co.za secondly, Aether is not even regular-smp compatible, so dont even THINK about bukkit-smp compatibility. third, Aether conflicts with a LOT of other mods. and last but not least, i have yet to see a 1.2.5 update for Aether mod.
k xD but you have to agree Aether mod is awesome xD not nearly as awesome as alice but its pretty high up on the charts xD
Yes, BC3 is only ssp still so you have to use BC2 for smp, well it was like that the last time I looked.
also, buildcraft 3 is still in alpha. However, when combining all those mods, I see some glorious combinations, the only thing that's limiting it is the availability of resources. (which is technically already solved with the mining world)
