I will never travel to the USA because of this shit. It's just insane how much effort your country makes to decrease your freedom to "fight terror".

Security Theater. They're utterly useless. Political correctness has destroyed whatever effectiveness they could have had.

Worthless. According to my government hackers are a bigger threat to the "System".

    I fucking hate my country.

I bet the FBI and CIA are now monitoring me for saying that.

The Congressman(or was he a senator, whatever) who moved to create the TSA came out a few weeks ago and called it a massive failure. That's how much EVERYONE hates the TSA. They're even trying to present themselves as federal law enforcement now, which they are not. Anyway, on the subjects of scanners, it was known when they were adopted that they were 1. harmful and 2. useless. It's just a show, makes it look like they're doing things to "protect" us but in reality all they're doing is harming and limiting our privacy and rights.

Well Cran the best way to BLOW UP the federal tracking INFORMATION is through use of TERRORizing words that the SCANNERS are set to look for. It's quite funny really that the OBAMA administration allows such a joke to CARRY ON in such a manner. It KILLS me to think that I voted for him.

I agree Alurios it is terrible that I cannot FLY AN AIRPLANE from one airport INTO another airport without being groped. I mean just this other day I went into A GOVERNMENT BUILDING and was hassled to death about my keys. I mean SHOULD I leave my keys in my car? How can I get back into my car if I lock it? It makes me KILL a lot of my free time to find an alternative? Maybe I should contact MY STATE SENATOR and let him know that these laws are unfair and unconstitutional.

Posts like these are why the NSA is building data centers in New England and Utah. You are all DOMESTIC TERRORISTS and should be denied your GOD given rights under the CONSTITUTION.

Terrorism is a problem in some countries, not because of bombs, but because of the "terror" that ensues. Attacks are rare and usually very small. 9/11 was 11 years ago. They often fail. In the UK there are no patdowns, no searches, no scanners, just an xray for your luggage and no water allowed (unless you hide it, which is easy).

You're now on a government watchlist, if you weren't already, seeing as you're british.

Except there are no semi-automatic centerfire rifles, no handguns, and the permit system is fucked anywhere near a major city. I'm aware of England's gun laws so sarcasm doesn't do much for 'ya. :)

I've read stories about the TSA "Agents" literally abusing people.
I.E. giving someone a smack in the sack, pulling a guy's junk (brings the phrase "yanking my chain" to a new level - and yes, I've seen both of these in news articles)...
Let's see... we all have heard stories about them groping women and children...

And what will they do? "Promise" to "fix" things? lol.

I chuckled a bit when I was watching Hawaii Five-oh and heard this, but it's actually pretty true:
"Because of ONE DAY, I can't bring my daughter to the airport without some guy groping her ass."
    -Danny Williams (Hawaii Five-oh Character)

If they don't fight terror, then the terrorists come in and kill you. So much for free will.

You mean that you accept to have no longer any liberty if it could make terrorists not to kill you ?
Then take random food, go into the ground (50meters under the ground) and survive there, you won't have any liberty, or nearly (You'll stay able to talk), but at least, no terrorist will kill you.
As an exemple of society that had no liberty, then no criminality, we have the nazism.

Now you get how insanely mad is your message ?

It is entirely plausible to fight terror without infringing on anyone's civil rights. The successes that have come out of legislature like the PATRIOT ACT are catching idiots like the guys who planned to take down the Brooklyn Bridge ... with blowtorches. To accept any infringement on those rights as 'necessary' without first bothering to check if they are a worthwhile measure, and if their purpose is to protect (rare) or to open a new channel to government power (frighteningly common), is stupid, irresponsible for any voter, and utterly fallacious.
