Alice has been updated! You will need to update your client. Fixed the oil bucket quest: now you just need to make a Gas Lift. Fixed Feather of Flight not being given for the quest. Added Railcraft. Removed ChickenChunks. Update Galacticraft to 3.0.12.363. Disabled the RF Tools Endergenic Generator. Changed RF Tools Screens to not require power. Bumped up the OpenPeripherals sensor range. Reduced power requirements in OpenComputers.
why remove chickenchunks when it's not even been implemented for a day? I just finished burying 25 spot loaders at bedrock at my base.
What is a Gas Lift?? And why not just change the quest from an oil bucket to an oil canister, which is how galacticraft want's you to get oil anyways. With Railcraft. Yay, sure I guess. But I really hope that you disabled the coke and blast furnaces, since they're already implemented in Immersive Engineering. Also don't know how I feel about those boilers being available now. Certainly makes getting early game power gen easier, as opposed to using flaxbeard of gregtech boilers. RF tools screens, why is it even a big deal that it needs power? the screen controller has decent range on it, and RF tools uses brokenly little power, I don't see why this was necessary. Chickenchunks... I can't even
Yeah, seems very inconsistent to have it for less than a day. If it's a big drag on server resources, then maybe it shouldn't have been set at like 250 chunks per person, that don't unload until 45 minutes after the person logs out. Reducing it to say 50 tops, and it unloads 5-10 minutes after logout would significantly lower drag (I'd imagine) while still allowing functionality for all but the most greedy and massive base builders.
What happened to the 11 chunk limit of old alice? That worked out pretty well... Will we be refunded for the chunkloaders we built?
ChickenChunks is supposedly known to cause issues. Railcraft has chunk loaders and that's the reason we added it. You can be refunded. Just ask a moderator.
It's generally just not a very good mod. The chunk limit and unloading time is unimportant, especially the latter.
I hope that railcraft chunk loaders actually works half decent. With chickenchunks, I didn't have any problems with my quantum bridge anymore.
If it was known to have issues, then why was it implemented? I feel like Chickenchunks is the crazy ex-girlfriend of the server; we can't keep her for long, but it's a wild ride when we have her.
Hopefully it's nothing major, cause if I have to wait for steel to go through this furnace again, I'm going postal ._.
When you remove chickenchunks it has to remove chunkloaders, but that might also break chunkloading being how shit the mod is. If feel like this is that 'I told you so' moment I was expecting when I first told Doom not to add it.
The server is taking a while to load because, when you remove a mod, it has to go through the world and remove every block and item from the mod.
