Depends on the speed of the ram, processor speed, cache, cores, instructions per cycle, graphics ram speed, graphics ram size, graphics processor speed, instructions per cycle, monitor resolution, monitor update speed, motherboard bandwidth, graphics settings, capabilities of the graphics card(OpenGl X.0), ..... The list goes on.
My processor is 8 Cores, videocard is 1GB memory & supports ALL modern games and minecraft modpacks, OpenGL is fully supported. My RAM is made by Corsair. It's 8GB dual-channel. Is it ok? Oo
I read somewhere (can't cite where, I forgot) that Java derps when you allocate too much RAM to it. It has a ton of variables and data in there and doesn't do garbage collection. Try lowering your allocations.
The sheer number of companies that produce those same specifications at different prices and qualities amazes me, give us the brand of what you have - or better yet - the full name of each part. 8 cores doe, that's rare (and generally costly).
amd m8 8 core cheap cheap We need a specific list of components before we are able to point you in a certain direction of where to go next. If you aren't sure on your spec do windows key + R then type "dxdiag" and a window like this: Should appear, either screenshot and upload this screen or click save all information and upload to pastebin please.
Videocard: AMD Radeon 7770 HD Series Processor: AMD FX 8120 eight-core processor RAM: Just made by Corsair... I don't really know, because until now that's name wasn't useful.
PermGen is already 256. The client's causes lags trying to open multiplayer on 128 PermGen. Nope. That isn't works.
It's really strange, but when i'm opening Alice client, memory and the disk usage fills until their limit...
Reistalling windows is boredly, because i need to reinstall programms, cracks, and other useful features. Trying linux? Do you even tryed install minecraft on BIOS? That's the linux for me. But, i wanted to install Mac OS X anyway... Maybe i'll install linux, and then Mac OS X. Man, do you even try search programms to install Mac OS X from Windows? That's impossible. But in linux it's just two commands.
... wat. Linux is not installed on the BIOS. Mac OS X is not easily installable on non mac computers.(Hackintosh has terrible hardware support, and this is illegal) Search programs? On this arch laptop I install dropbox by typing "pacaur -S dropbox" Install from windows? UNetBootin might do that. Cracked software/ games? Don't expect much support, this is also illegal.
If you're new to Linux, try Ubuntu. There's even a utility for it if you don't want to totally wipe your system or don't want to do a bunch of crazy things to get a dual-booted system. Seriously, Linux does Minecraft a lot faster for me. On the last version, I went from 5 fps on Windows to 30 fps on Linux.
Sure, it's illegal, but Apple isn't going to come after him unless he starts selling Hackintoshes. Regardless, I'm a bit puzzled as to what exactly is going on. As a side note, the FX 8120 isn't really a true 8-core, and the Bulldozer architecture is rather crap, but you should be getting more than 10FPS. See if you have a lot of stuff running in the background, maybe make a temporary Linux partition to see if it's a problem on the Windows partition.
Pretty much anything 2008 onwards and intel works fine. Most GPU's 2008 onwards also work. Sound is the hardest part which often that works with a certain kext anyway.
