I know this isn't programming, but I guess it's close? (not really) Here is a review on a budget build I have completed, I am happy with the results compared to the price. Total Price: 526.96$ (Windows 7 is included in the price, if you have it already it will be less) Specs: Intel Core i3-3240 Dual-Core Processor 3.4 Ghz 3 MB Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2048MB GDDR5 128bit Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch, 7200 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64 MB Cach Minecraft: This PC runs Minecraft very well, with an average of 400-500FPS on max settings and around 300FPS while recording, using HD shaders you get around 90FPS recording. The graphics card can easily render all of Minecraft graphics, most of the power comes from the processor loading all the chunks. Other Games: This PC can easily run any game you throw at it on High/Ultra settings with very high FPS, so if your playing other PC games this is a very good build. You may want to consider using an Intel Core i5-3470 quad core processor if your budget can stretch a little further (only around $60 more) as i3s don't offer the best performance.
That is very cheap for a decent gaming computer here in Norway. I have used around 3300$ (USD) on my computer and it isn't even the best of the best! Everything in Norway is very expensive though....
If you're a bit tight on cash, you could also swap out the GTX 650 Ti with a Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 to make a cheaper but almost as good build.
I think you guys are missing the part where he says "review" personally if was thinking of building something at this point I would opt for a haswell CPU as these are aggressively priced compared to ivy..
