I know my machines and stuff wont be copied over, but the structure of my house took quite a long time, and I would love not to have to do that all over again. Thanks, Tommy. I had a dome that used 3 1/3 stacks of diamond blocks, literally. I don't expect that it would be transferred over either.
I thought the general notion of the transfer offer was elaborate builds that use mundane materials but are very hard to do. Like big nice looking houses. Not the valueables within. If you start with Aura Nodes, next thing you know people will want more of their valueables transferred. For instance If I clad all my walls with iridium blocks. Or diamond blocks. You get the picture.
I don't really mind other people being rich, I'm just being a little optimistic. I actually expect to have a lot of work to do filling in all the holes my tower is going to have.
I'm hoping my lava and volcano get transferred. or at least the lava returned and corked off so the rest of my lair is fine.
Buildings will not be left with holes in they will just be replaced with common materials such as stone and wood. The idea of this is not to transfer wealth but intricate structures that people have put hours into such as Nolan's build.
Holy cow I should visit more often. I'd like to get my pyramid and its frontyard copied over. Don't want to build that huge thing again. I already placed corner pillars. Southeast corner is at -159 -1189 and also extends underground for easy selecting. Northwest corner is at -225 -1329. Vertically it spans from 50 to 96. It doesn't contain any machines. (The pyramid is complete, but the chunks aren't loaded completely due to its size)
I have one question and idk if it will work but fot the people who did all of the tc4 research can we get a tome of knowledge sharing with all of the research on it for a one time use?
Yes it has been discussed and no, it is not going to happen. My god, if I had all my TC knowledge when it resets, that would be insanely over powered for a new start and incredibly unfair to other players.
People who get their base transferred over already have a bit of a headstart - they can immediately start mining and making machines without having to worry about where to place them, so they can advance their tech while others are still building a base. However, gameplay-/tech-wise we have to provide equal conditions for all players. If we were to copy thaumcraft research we might as well transfer all items and machines.
Honestly with the changes currently made I myself would be looking at redoing my machine area. Assuming the ones I'm thinking of make it in. And that's from someone who's endgame was a resonant population pack
