All trading using currency/credits in the bazaar has been temporarily suspended, and the bank is temporarily closed. Moderators, the Mod Pack Team, and Bazaar Staff have discovered a substantial issue with currency. An audit of the credit system has revealed that there is a significant difference between the number of quartz in the bank and the number of credits in circulation. As a result, we have elected to freeze the credit system, and lock all shops/trade-o-mats utilizing credits/currency as part of the trades. Use of currency in private trades (player to player) outside of the bazaar is NOT affected by this freeze, however it is discouraged at this time. The most important thing I can stress right now is DO NOT PANIC. The value of your credits is safe. We are working to resolve the issue and will continue to keep you updated as our investigation in to this issue continues.
Moderators? Really? Unless they are part of the Bazaar staff, moderators shouldn't be involved at all in the server economy as this is preferred by both players and mods alike. Yet, it happened... for an economy to truly thrive, there shouldn't be any server admin help.
Buttons is a mod your argument is invalid. If anything the reason this thread has seen a lack of response already in my opinion can be attributed to the trust placed in Buttons and Glitch given they've headed the bazaar since 1.4 and their history of being fair in dealings with shop owners. And honestly I think you are demanding to much from others, you cashed out a majority of your credits and thus do not have much to lose in this and so far your critixisim has been less than condsturticve.
Halting currency transactions in the Bazaar was a joint decision done in cooperation with admins, moderators, and the Bazaar staff. The issues ZoomerX mentioned are being dealt with, and when they have been resolved, we will re-open the bank together.
You should like read before you start using meme speak: As far as being too demanding of other people goes, that's subjective and all I ever get in response is "too lazy" anyways.
I'll still do credit trades contact me in-game via chat, or mail box. Or since you're here PM me. (Slowest) 32 credits for 24 Ruby Ore 10 credits for 1 Ruby block 8 Credits for a Endo-thermic Pump 1 Credit for 19 Bauxite Ore 1 Credits for 4 Sapphire Ore .5 credits for 16 Tetrahedrite Ore @Gk http://skcraft.com/threads/official-bazaar-rules.2921/ Maybe you should have took the time to read the bazaar rules thread under Staff List to avoid looking dumb.
ZoomerX is a member of the Bazaar staff. We have had moderator support from the beginning, and will continue to work with server admins and moderators in the future. Far from requiring no involvement, the economy needs the support and consideration of the server staff.
Someone may have discovered Laissez-faire economics, and is under the misconception that it ever existed or that it would be a good idea.
The economy is not run by the admins, in fact, admins/moderators are not involved in the currency (to be honest, nobody is). It really runs its self, as long as people do not abuse the system. The only reason server staff are involved right now is because the issue indicates that one or more people are utilizing one or more exploits on the server. Once this issue is resolved, I don't expect anyone to be involved with policing the currency unless a situation like this comes up again.
