To automate an alviary you need one export bus per frame housing one to recycle in drones and one import bus to pull out of the inventory. and most people use 3 frame housings if not more. Unless you use pipes which creates floating entities, and has a chance of losing a princess (or so I'm told.) And you are correct Kyl we only used one router for it. That one router that filled frame housings, now needs to be replaced.

When Path was recently at my base he made a comment about the IC2 transformers, I am guessing that's one thing in our base that's putting the most stress on the server. From my understanding it was ssaid in chat one router can drop TPS by 5, nothing to do with the number of machines or items. Simple fact is Factorization is a poorly optimized mod.

Just to expand on that further a Fusion reactor takes 24 centrifuges 20 for deuterium 4 for tritium(sp) Since most people cannot afford to make Inventory Managers, or are cheap/lazy they now need to add an export bus and import or storage bus (Storage bus is ideal) it also costs 6 Industrial Electors. That's 30 export buses, if a person uses import buses on them also that means they're always active. Where as a storage bus stops the machine and the bus stops placing items in inventory, but it does do a check to see if it can put more items in. Each item in/out has an added power calculation on top of just having it on the network, so if it's not pushing or pulling no extra calculation for the server to do.

You do have a valid point, and that's why people pushed for a GregTech Update, compounded with SK making the speed/power increase per-upgrade an 1:1 ratio So players would have an incentive to use upgrades thus reducing the number of machines needed.

The reasons I heard we haven't updated are : The next one is unstable. The one we'd have to use adds the new reactors and is less unstable than the one before, but still unstable.

In summary the server's issues aren't just singular and simple it is a number of factors from poor coding to poor automation of players. —Let's not forget pure stupidity.

Isn't the whole point of these specific Minecraft mods, efficiency? Efficiency and making everything bigger and better than ever before. I think... I think it is in our nature to make absurdly large scale machinery.

It's past June 14th; are existing routers stopped or slowed?

    Yes, they are slowed down.
