Hmmm, interesting. I'm more of a mediocre builder, but I still think I'll practice and see. But we probably need to know if we're keeping RP2 or not, because of the microblocks.
RP2 or not we will have microblocks by Immbis which are infact much better. They allows any in game block to be cut and any wire type block with a proper api to be covered, it is very awesome!
I think this might be a good place to post some ideas for the new spawn/ complaints about the old spawn. It was never really clear to me where things were in the spawn, perhaps making a flatter, grid-type street system a la New York would make it easier to navigate Also, it would be awesome if a train network type thing actually got built, instead of just started. It's not a particularly efficient method of getting around (gravity suite, anyone?), but I think it could look neat, both from the perspective of an onlooker and a rider. Perhaps a tour past some particularly neat builds? Or make a spur line that takes people to big pixel-art type signs with the server rules? A biome tour, perhaps?
Also microblocks are laggy as all get out, and I'd like to avoid laggy blocks in spawn, just because it tends to be very laggy in general (particularly lag island on the last Alice).
I definitely agree with the train network idea. Maybe we could build a grand station at the spawn and many links outward
I'd say just keep it simple so it gets done and have it go the 4 compass directions then have it branch off.
Why not pick a default size for the spawn say maybe 12 - 16 chunks and branch the districts in to 6-8 3-4 chunk branches respectively This way the spawn can gradually fade from urban to rural.
I know what might be a good idea, have spawn much more spread out, so if it does get laggy, it's much less (albeit over a wider area)... And the grid like system would be a good idea, if we still kept the 'map of spawn'

Ok I would be more than willing to help although I need to break the habit of too many microblocks I don't have any screen shots But I am building the GE at the bazaar. Edit: I would also be willing to help with techy stuff eg: train systems, piston door stuffs and so on
If what I've been told is true, we should still have Immbis microblocks after the remove of RP2... Although I don't know where to find them. Are they in the modpack yet?

Alright I kinda knew about Immibis but ty anyways. Why I want to use less microblocks is because I've been told they cause lag. I don't know if this is still an issue with Immibis though
I wouldn't think they would be. RP2 microblocks were poorly optimized. But someone would have to try them out to be sure.
I think ill do that cause I'm very bored and have nothing to do. Edit: I installed Immibis microblocks and did some testing. I placed tons of micro blocks everywhere (way more than you would use when actually building) and only got a little lag and slightly glitchy hitboxes (similar to chests at times). Overall I think that building with them will not be a problem.
So yeah I guess my builds were so awesome you guys didn't even have anything to say.... speechless... Yeah that's it...
