Most of the fun LP's I watch (in a variety of games, including MC) the hosts intentionally make hasty, poor decisions, with little regard to safety, and then try to battle their way out. Like "I could build a safe way to go around this dungeon, but what's the fun in that?" Then you break the cobble wall, charge in, and either successfully kill everyone and loot it, run back in a panic at your poor decision, or die and laugh. Recklessness is a good idea in LP's. Playing it safe and being careful is boring. That's how people play on their own. You're there for entertainment, and average play isn't entertaining. edit: Reckless LP examples: Yogcast (Simon); the american in this Terraria LP; this flight sim LP make bad decisions, do your best to get out of them
It's back! Have recorded Episode 1 of Season 2 and will be uploaded tonight. I'm so excited! The first episode is mostly exploring/touring the server however, so it could probably be skipped if you find it boring. Episode 2 starting soon. Edit: Episode 2 uploading now done!
omg...I don't quite understand why sometimes the top grass texture goes to the side.....Someone explain please? Been looking the answer for months.... You really shouldn't tell people you are recording or else they might want to go over and bomb the chat with HI YOUTUBE Anyways...love the vids, hope it increases Alice's popularity
It's an option in OptiFine - "BetterGrass". The grass texture will go to the side when there is another grass block one block below. It gives the impression of rolling hills, while still alowing normal-looking grass on steep cliffs. It's a bit of a privacy thing, to prevent people saying something they don't want on YouTube or if they don't want to appear in the video. It can result in that, yes - but I don't see too much harm coming from that. Thanks. Glad you like it! Any tips?
I see....I had it once then I don't know what happened to it >.< lool I am such a noob Well...I guess...I jsut find the people who says HI YOUTUBE a bit random and out of place.... Well, for starters, you probs should write down directions on what you are gonna do in the vid first...like script it a bit....you seemed lost or have forgotten something sometimes. You need to give audience a confidence feeling, like you know what you are doing.
Lol, the part where you tell people you are going to go and edit epoisode 2 is totally unneccisary. TMI lol. It's not like it's funny(not I am assuming you are not) or it has any practical usage. It also might give viewers a bad impression of you. Also, you should record your process of building your house then speed it up and add some cheesy music. This video was also better overall than the last one, I quite like it. I think you followed my suggestion FYI: EP2 and 3 is not in the playlsit
I know. :/ I sort of forgot to edit it out, as it was at the tail end of what I had done already prior to the "time off" I had. Excuses, excuses, I know. I had thought about this, but building the house has been what I've done when I can't record. It's also almost finished (ground floor). Perhaps something I do I will speed up and add cheesy music too though. It's definitely something I will keep in mind. Thank-you. I felt the episode went better too. I didn't have a script, but I did have a clear plan for what I wanted to do. Your advice helped. And thanks for the heads up! I've been rather busy and I rushed the upload knowing I was forgetting something.
