Can't we make a counter + a map of all the users ?
So then we could know who uses the most it's power, and set different maximum limits based on the avarage of use of someone!

    Example:

Guy A uses on avarage 100 (arbitrary unit, meanless compared to the game)

Guy B uses on avarage 50

At time T, Guy A is using 100 but Guy B uses 1000! But then, when we count over the time, Guy A still uses more in total then Guy B.

So we will let Guy B to reach 1000 as top limit.
And limit Guy A to 500 (for example) to prevent abuse!

seriously? someone could connect it but use nothing, and so make that calculation equal infinity; so they would have, in practicality, infinite energy to use at any time. the crystals are far better, as the chunk will usually not be loaded when they are on stopping the crystal going through-causing it to use no energy

Ah, the problem of loading chunks...

OK so you are right, at least on one point:
WE MUST USE AN ENERGY DISPENSER THAT WORKS WITHOUT LOADED CHUNKS!

World anchors are too expensive, and just guess what would happen if we suddenly would need to link our power supply to someone else's home 5 000 blocks away!
Just guess how many world anchors it would need!
And how sk89q would rage because of too many loaded chunks causing bugs and crashes to the server!

No power system is going to work without chunkloaders. The Railcraft World Anchor seem to be broken by whatever server we use (tracks too, grr) and use fuel.

If we put in CodeChicken's superior chunkloaders we could set it up so that only the single chunk that has the power is loaded then use energy tesseracts to transmit power to players without having to string chunkloaders all the way around. I'm fairly certain we could even have multiple people connect to one public tesseract, but haven't tested it yet.

    Or this:

    Looks a good idea.
Can't we do many of those to provide more power ?

I mean: I know this is so expensive, but when it'll get finish, we might use energy to re-create that faster (a certain way).
So we could get more power.

This would depend of how much people are using it!

I've been using the magmatic engine setup for a while now, and it's quite cheap (expect for the Redstone Energy Cell), but it's quite efficent. maye the setup that Ky made could be the best one we can get :p

BTW IDK if the IC2 mod have any energy teleporting devices...

Gregtech has the inter-dimensional storage unit (I.D.S.U) , but it is extremely expensive.

also the IDSU is greate for the rich who have every thing but not for those who strugle

btw interesting ideas it may be best to use multiple sorces because what im finding is that i run out or forget to restock the seeds ect... so it would be good to have a back up

Yeah but if you look at it how the BC things need allot of MJ just to run at a decent speed and its not very easy to make things to store MJ it kinda balances it's self out since other then getting your first batch of rubber IC power is easy to setup and use and you can make batts right off the bat. IC2 is great for making tools and gear but BC is better for refining ores and all the other BS it can do so personally in the end I use IC, BC and RP as all one system.

You should have it setup to automatically refill your fuel system with seeds, it's fairly easy to do with RP, also you could run Bio fuel from saplings if you have all the copper, tin, iron and space needed to set it up though running combustion engines can be bad if you don't set them up right (fast enough water supply, good ventilation and enough of the power the engines are producing getting used). BC bio fuel is kinda a pain in the ass to work with since you need ALOT of saplings 1 fermenter and 4 stills to keep things running smoothly but the hardest part I've found is getting water to the engines cause they use it up FAST at the higher temps and even with 2 pumps you can't keep up with 3 or more engines unless you change up how the pumps pump water to the engines. Keep in mind I was only using 8 redstone engines and on exiting gold pipe to carry the water so rely not very efficient at all but if you used 2 or 3 gold pipes and ran the pumps off your power grid I bet they would do just fine in keeping up.
