Alice is now updated to 1.4.6! In order to play, you have to get a new version of the launcher and then proceed to open Alice like you would normally. Release notes: A number of functions that you are used to no longer work, unfortunately. Enderpearl homes, sleeping in beds even during daylight, and the MapPad are no longer working Because it is a new world, chunks are not generated, and so you may find the server slow and unresponsive (laggy) when there are many people on exploring new land. You'll notice this lag as block breaking and placement lag (and other things). There may be bugs or crashes! While we've tried to test everything, be aware that you may run into some issues. We will fix them as we go along. Some features are not yet in because we deferred them to make the deadline for release. The HTTP API currently is disabled, the FTP server mentioned previously does not exist, and there is no compact solar mod yet. Things are still not final! Configuration tweaks may still be made. Remember, to play, you must use the new launcher version otherwise it won't work. If you are still having trouble, please post on this thread.
For some reason, Java's getting jerky on Alice. I can't run the new version without getting an error message. When I open the game, it just shows a white screen in the game's window. (I know I have the right file type, I got the .exe like my last version of the file) BTW, if it helps, I run Windows 7 Professional on my computer.
Never mind, it works! Just had to disable Single Player Commands, I had the 1.2.5 version. (UPDATE: Worlds take a long time to load, though.)
Maybe post the error message you're getting? You'll want to upgrade Java itself as well, 7 Update 11 came out the other day which helps with a pretty major exploit.
I'm having problems launching too - just a massive error everytime. Here is a screenshot (can't copy/paste the report itself) http://i.imgur.com/l088j.png Also, I cannot update Java because if I do it stops working completely in chrome for some reason
With your launcher click on the Options... button then click on the About tab and confirm that you're using version 3.3.0 please.
Grr, that's really odd. I got that error with the old launcher. But the new one has worked on two different computers with 7u9 and 7u11 Java installs. Are you able to run vanilla Minecraft on it's own without errors? Does Vincent work?
Try deleting the entirety of %APPDATA%\.skcraftalice\.minecraft (perhaps keep some select configs) and force downloading. If you need help with this, ask me. I actually have the problem too and I've still been using a test profile I made before release, soo you're not alone, but I haven't fixed it on my end yet.
I'm wondering why MapPads are not working. Is it because it needed to be ported to forge or if the bukkitforge wrapper (if one is in use) doesn't support it?
Ok now I can launch the game (btw 3.3.0 version) but when it's loading it crashes and it says failed to start the game.
